Select Your Server

Stop the Server

Click on the Files tab

Open the server.properties file

Set the Difficulty Value

Scroll down until you see gamemode=[value] and change [value] to your preferred gamemode (creative, survival, adventure or spectator). Then click the Save Content button.

Start the Server

Log In to the Control Panel ↗

Select Your Server

Run the Gamemode Command

Type gamemode [value] [playername] in the console. Replace [value] with your preferred gamemode (creative, survival, adventure or spectator) and [playername] with the username of the player you want to change.

Join Your Server

Connect to your server using your server IP address.

Run the /gamemode Command

Type /gamemode [value] [playername] in chat. Replace [value] with your preferred gamemode (creative, survival, adventure or spectator) and [playername] with the target player’s username. If you are changing the gamemode for yourself, you can leave out the somename placeholder.
