Select Your Server

Stop Your Old Server

Stop your old server on your previous host, as it could interfere with files during migration.

Open the Importer Tab

Go to Configuration → Importer.

Enter Your Old Host SFTP Details

Enter the host name, port, username and password from your old hosting company. Make sure the hostname does not contain a port.

Test the Connection

Click Test to verify Folium can connect to your old server.

Import Your Files

Once the Import button is available, click it. If your new server does not have important data, enable the Wipe Server Files option to avoid file conflicts.

Wait for the Transfer

You won’t be able to access panel features until the transfer is complete.

Download Files from Your Old Host

Download your server files from your old host to your local computer. The easiest way is to:

1. Make a backup of your server
2. Download the backup archive
3. Extract it using a tool like 7-Zip 

Connect to Folium via SFTP

Launch an SFTP client like FileZilla  and connect using the SFTP details found in Environment → Settings.

Upload Your Server Files

Select all files and folders from your old server (including server.jar, world, logs, etc.) and upload them to your Folium server.

Verify the Server JAR Name

Make sure the server software file is named server.jar. If it has a different name, either:

• Rename it to server.jar in the Files tab
• Or change the JAR file name in Environment → Startup under SERVER JAR FILE

Start the Server
